Profile

In 1995 Fabio Vittorini graduated in Modern Literature at the University of Bologna and in 1999 he was awarded a Ph.D. in Literary Studies at the University of Bergamo. Between 1996 and 2001 he was teaching at Universities in Bologna, Modena and Milano. After obtaining the qualification for a post of professor in 2002 he joined the IULM, where he still teaches Comparative literature and Musical languages for audio-visual media. His research interests are: theory of narrative text and history of contemporary novel, methodological relations between psychoanalysis and literary theory; comparative (historical and theoretic) relations between literature, cinema and music, theory and history of melodrama.
